The Las Perlas Islands are the most accessible islands from Panama City. Isla Contadora, on the northern side of the archipelago is about 30 miles from Panama City. On average, it is about an hour and a half ride to Contadora. We offer a great range of options to get out to the islands. We can accommodate up to 120 passengers out to the islands.
Our most popular trip is a day trip that normally includes a few hours of deep sea fishing (dorado, pacific mackeral, snapper) then dropping the hook out at a deserted, white sand beach for lunch and a swim or snorkeling. You can choose to visit the more populated Isla Contadora or head for the privacy of Isla Chapera or Mogo Mogo.
We also offer overnight and extended charters to the Las Perlas Islands. There are over 44 islands in the archipelago and many of them are uninhabited. The Darien Nationla Park also lies to the east of the archipelago. The Darien is ripe with flora and fauna and a trip up one of their many rivers is a trip of a life time. The Embera indians except visitors to their village and the experience is extremely cultural. Nice way to mix up a little land and sea as well.
Isla San Jose is home to the luxurious Hacienda Del Mar Resort. Located on the southern tip of the archipelago, this island boasts great fishing as well as a luxurious cliff side lodge with several ocean front cabanas. You can fish big game, relax at the infinity pool or tool around the island on a rented ATV.
